Memberships & Rates
  • Otterbabies 1 (Age: 6mo-18mo) 30 minutes
    This is a parent participation (1-parent per child) class introduces the water and basic water safety skills to babies and their parents. Babies and toddlers will learn how to adjust to the water environment through songs and games while building the development of motor skills such as kicking and arm movement. Parents will learn how to hold their child in the water to support natural buoyancy as well as learn the signs of when their child is comfortable and ready to become more independent in the water.   • Otterbabies 2 (Age: 18mo-3yrs) 30 minutes
    This is a parent/child swim class, builds on the basic water movements and progresses your child to be more independent in the water, through use of songs and games. Adults are guided to help their children learn basic swimming and safety skills which will progress their child to move on through our aquatics swim school. This class requires one adult per child.   • Otter Toddler (Age: 2.5-3yrs) 30 minutes
    This is an introduction level for toddlers that have been enrolled in Otterbabies 2. This class will fast track your toddler from swimming with you to have their first aquatics experience without a parent. Children will work on safety in and around the pool and begin their aquatic journey with us! This class will focus on getting your child to become comfortable and confident with swimming and floating. Children will use bubbles and other forms of flotation aide during their classes. Student must have a referral from an instructor in order to enroll in this class.
  • Flippin' Fishies 1 (Age: 18mo-3yrs) 90 minutes
    This class introduces your child to the best of both worlds with gymnastics and swimming! Participants will do gymnastics at Roots Gymnastics Center and cross the bridge to Roots Aquatics Center for swimming. Please call Roots Gymnastics Center to register today 413-562-2333!
  • Pufferfish 1 Beginner (Age: 3-4.5yrs) 30 minutes
    This is an introduction to Roots Swim School curriculum for 3-4.5 year old, to be able to have their first aquatic experience without a parent.     This is an intermediate-advanced level for 4.5-6 years old to develop their independent swimming skills without flotation. Children need to be able to swim independently without a flotation aid and be comfortable getting their faces wet. This class is designed to get your child to swim longer distances and to be able to move on to the Lap Pool. ENROLL NOW!
  • Seahorse Intermediate/ Advanced (Age 4.5-7yrs) 30 minutes
    This intermediate-advanced level for 4.5-7 years old, focuses on building their endurance in the lap pool. This is a transitional class for younger swimmers who are ready to increase their endurance as well as stroke technique for freestyle and backstroke. Swimmers will concentrate on longer distances and perfecting rotary breathing, backstroke, treading water, diving, with the use of games and fun swim drills.

  • Manta Rays Intermediate (Age 7+) 30 minutes
    This is an intermediate level for 7+ years old swimmers who are proficient in Front Crawl and Backstroke. This class will focus on endurance and stroke refinement. Children will be introduced to open turns, Breaststroke, Butterfly, and further develop treading of water and safety skills. ENROLL NOW!
  • Blue Tangs Advanced (Age 7+) 45 minutes
    This is an advanced level for 7+ years old to perfect all four strokes with the use of open turns and flip turns. Swimmers will further develop their understanding for workouts, technique, starts, treading water, and safety skills. ENROLL NOW!
  • Sharks 1 Beginner (Age 8+) 30 minutes
    This level is designed for the beginner swimmer that is 8 years old and up, a swimmer who is new to swimming or still needs flotation to help them swim a distance. We will help swimmers get comfortable and confident in learning new strokes and building their endurance for front crawl and backstroke. This class in the Lap Pool to make sure each swimmer is challenged. ENROLL NOW!
  • Sharks 2 Beginner/Intermediate (Age 8+) 30 minutes
    This is an beginner-intermediate level for the swimmer who is 8 years old and older. Swimmers have increased their confidence in previous enrollment. GROUP TRAINING

H20 Go!

These beginner through intermediate classes are taught by AEA Training Specialists and is designed to target muscles, equipment and movement; techniques for altering intensity in an easy to understand format.  Exercising in the water conditions the heart, lungs and muscles while protecting your joints, burning calories and having fun.  Water exercises can help control blood pressure, relieve stress and improve balance and flexibility.  Beginner, intermediate and advanced exercisers are all welcome to attend.  All participants are encouraged to work at a level that matches his or her abilities.  No swimming skills are needed.
