This summer I decided to commit to running my third marathon. Often times I get bored with my same routine and decide to do things like this to mix it up! I have been a member of Roots Aquatics and Fitness Center since they first opened up and the variety of classes they offer has always prepared me for whatever adventure I was on. This past marathon along with other races I have completed since joining, I noticed a huge difference in my strength and speed, and I have none other to thank than Body Pump and Tread N' Shred. Doing both helped build the muscles needed to carry me through 20+ miles of fun (upper body is just as important!) while developing my speed and hill training to get to the pace I wanted to be at. Everyone who knew I was training was so supportive and encouraging, always asking how training was going. Huge shout out to Danielle who woke up early on her day off to train 20 miles with me!! Thanks to Roots for helping me reach my goals!
