Health and Safety Protocols

While the impact of COVID-19 has been significant, a few things have kept us moving forward: keeping our community moving, and developing a plan to open our facilities—in the safest way possible.  As always, Roots Aquatics & Fitness Center and Roots Cycle is committed to the cleanliness of our facility and the healthy and safety of our community. Now we’re taking it to an even higher level.

We are paying close attention to the CDC and local government updates and will continue staying informed. As we listen, learn and watch other states and fellow industry businesses re-open, we will be fine-tuning and updating our operations to implement a standard of safety that will make us all feel comfortable in our facilities.

During the past year, we have taken our time to craft new protocols for our staff, riders, and members; this means reduced class sizes, modified schedules, social distancing measures, heightened cleaning procedures, all in an effort to keep our community connected–from a safe distance

For those who continue to come to visit us in person, please know we are doing everything to maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment. Using the tabs on this page you can find additional measures that we are putting in place.

This is an adjustment for all of us and truly believe that with kindness, patience, and excitement, we will be able to welcome you all back. Below is our current plan as we believe these will be our best operational guidelines to successfully and safely reopen our doors.

The Latest Update:

In response to the updated CDC guidelines and State mandates, both Roots Aquatics and Fitness Center and Roots Cycle will switch to mask optional, effective Wednesday May 19th.

What Does Mask Optional Mean?

Please wear your mask as you enter the facility. Upon working out or on the bike masks can come off if you so choose. Please be respectful to other members as we enter this new phase.

Social Distancing and Hygiene:

Our standard cleanliness policies, such as equipment sanitation and hand washing, are still in effect. Aside from respecting the safety guidelines put in place by our governments, we ask that all riders and members continue to be mindful of hand washing and distancing when possible.

Please know we are doing everything to maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment. It is our priority to continue to provide a safe space for you to achieve your fitness goals.

Health & Safety at Roots

PLANTING THE SEEDS FOR HEALTHY (and cleaner) BODIES AND MINDS

We have always been prideful of our cleanliness in all facilities on campus. Now we’re taking it to an even higher standard. Top grade disinfectant and more frequent cleaning will be seen as soon as our doors open. Additionally, all staff and members will be required to thoroughly wash their hands according to CDC guidelines immediately upon entering.

Before and after all bikes, equipment, shoes, and all high-touch surfaces will be thoroughly sanitized using a disinfectant proven to kill infectious viruses like COVID-19.

Note: We will have a minimum of 15 minutes between each class to allow for sanitization prior to the next group of riders or members entering the studio and group room. All customer service and cleaning staff will be equipped with masks and will be there to assist and monitor our members.

BEFORE YOUR WORKOUT

At Home Self-Check reminders:

  • If you have a cough, fever, or symptoms of COVID-19, please do not come in our facilities until you’re symptom and fever-free for 3 days.
